FAQ
Downloads?
Once you have completed the payment on the paypal page you will see a link that says 'return to merchant'. Click that. It should send you back to the Funkytonk page that lists all your orders, including the one you just completed. Click on your order you just made. This will show you the details of your order and you will be provided with the link(s) to start your downloads. That's it. If you have any problems downloading your purchase, please email us as we can send you the files in an email.
Do I need a paypal account?
Absolutely not. Once you reach the paypal payment page you will see a link to continue without a paypal account. Just click that, and all you have do do is enter you card info. No paypal account needed. In fact we didn't really want to set up the store with paypal but it was our only affordable option. In the future when better payment gateways become available to small business' we will most likely switch over to a different payment gateway.
What is the deal with vinyl records?
We just don't like cd's. Vinyl is a true piece of art to us. As of early 2007, all future Funkytonk releases will be on vinyl. All our records will be available as digital downloads for your convinience. Furthermore, all our records will be recorded in a 100% analog process. Right down to sending a reel to reel tape to the vinyl pressing plant. We will continue selling our past cd releases until they are sold out. At which point those releases will be available only as digital downloads.
Are your vinyl releases limited pressings?
Some will be limited, others will have repressings. One thing thats certain is that each pressing will be unique, whether it be different color vinyl, labels etc..
Can I buy your stuff in stores?
Sorry but we do not have any distribution. It isn't something worth pursuing to us. We survive just fine with zero promotion. By this we mean that we don't distribute to radio stations, magazines, or stores. We send out material upon request only. So if you are a radio station, magazine, or mom and pop store, and you want some of our stuff, please write us.
Why don't you promote, that seems crazy?
Because that would be continuing a bad trend in music and art.
